Congratulations to AMF Electric

- ST. LOUIS CONTRACTOR WINS COVETED SAFETY AWARD -
St. Louis based AMF Electric, Inc. was the recipient of the Silver Safety Award given annually by American First Insurance Co., A Liberty Mutual Co. Awarded to the firm with the best DART rate, the Silver Safety award represents a significant safety achievement by firms receiving it. Past winners include Black & Veatch Construction of Kansas City and Inman Mills of South Carolina.
The DART rate is a measurement used by OSHA and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is a ratio derived by a compilation of the number of accidents/injuries experienced by a firm's workforce which results in days away from work and/or which results in restricted work activity and/or job transfer to other duty, divided into the 250,000 manhours worked by AMF employees last year.
Cited as "exceptional safety performance", AMF Electric's DART rate of .70 is less than 1/3 the national average of all electrical contractors.
AMF Electric, Inc. is a 25 year old merit shop electrical contractor with annual sales in the $15 - $20 million range.
"This award is a great compliment to the safety consciousness of our men", said co-owner John Frisella, "and we thank God for His protection."
"We have a slogan on our vans which we use to reinforce our emhasis on safety," said co-owner Tim Weir. "It reads, 'Customer Satisfaction Safely Delivered' and the Silver Safety Award is the result of this emphasis.
AMF Electric has a vibrant Safety Program ably administered by Joshua Unger, Safety Director.
